Bare legs jumping

My first day of bare legs this year was not today, but a couple of weeks ago, when I went strolling in the nearby park with my boyfriend. But today was really warm and sunny too. We have been blessed with gorgeous spring days. I really love it, but I must confess that the great weather is really not the best thing for me right now. I am stuck with an essay to write and can't really concentrate properly with the sun shining outside. So today I had to go out and had a yummy lunch at Jamie's Italian in Westfield and also bought two pairs of colourful trousers, perfect for spring, that I can't wait to wear.
How are you enjoying the sunshine?

Sweets in Brick Lane

I have to confess, not only I love going to Brick Lane to check all the different stylish people and the markets, but, like most of times in my life, food has a great deal to it. So here are some pictures I took of a cakes and pastries stall in Brick Lane a while ago. I had to start with the Pastéis de Nata or Portuguese Custard Tarts, that were disappearing in a blink of an eye!

Heart and lace

I took these pictures on Valentine's day! Can't really believe I forgot to post them! First because I really liked this look and second because I said I would post them (Islabel even asked me to show more of this dress!). So here they are, more than a month later. I still love the outfit like I did that day, though.

The red dress

So Spring is here at last, and I thought showing my most coveted Gemma dress from Motel (I really can't resist an open back dress), that I finally got through eBay (after seeing the last one being sold in front of me in the last sample sale), is a great way to celebrate it. London has been sunny lately, with daffodils already brightening parks, but these pictures are still from my holidays at Madeira. I didn't want to miss the opportunity to take some pictures among the banana trees again, because I think they're awesome! Mmm, now I am craving some Madeiran bananas, they are tiny, but oh so sweet!
Now, who is going to the Motel Spring Sample Sale that is going on today and tomorrow? I am going again; last time I missed the Gemma, but two other dresses and a blouse were mine for cheap! More dresses won't hurt, especially if they're bargains, am I right?

Stripes and green and red

If it wasn't noticeable from the previous posts, I was sick, with a damn fever and flu, in my first few days at Madeira. Only after the relaxing hotel days I got better. But I didn't want to waste any of my precious holiday days in bed, like I wasted Saturday, and from Sunday on, with plenty of medicine and water, I had strolled around the island everyday. This was the first one. You may remember this place from when I was living in Madeira (this post was there). Santo da Serra is a place in the mountain; next to golf fields and green scenery are deer, birds, dwarf horses and peacocks. No pictures of those, I am afraid, but an outfit photographed in that park is always an upgrade, don't you agree?

Tip of the Sun

Like said in the previous post, here's the second day, and the best one, at Ponta do Sol's hotel.

Starting the day with orange juice and a Pastel de Nata (or Portuguese custard tart how it is called here, though yummier than the ones sold here!)

Some pictures of the town.

The view to the East from the top of the cliff, where the pool and spa were.

A dream view, like you see in travel magazines. I wish the water was warm enough for a swim, but alas, I am not a British tourist ;)

The view to the West.

And now the outfit:

The day was really warmer than the day before, so after the pictures, off were the clothes and I just lazied myself next to the pool with a "pool gown" on top of my bikini, how chic? And waited in the sun until it was massage time...
Oh, and Ponta do Sol, means "Tip of the Sun", hence the title.

Sigh No More

I would have had a wonderful week at Madeira just by being there, but my boyfriend surprised me with two days at a Hotel in Ponta do Sol, entitled to jacuzzi, indoors swimming pool and a very relaxing back massage, which really improved my holiday week. So for the first day I decided I had to wear the dress I was craving for for so long from Zara (which I got my boyfriend to buy me in Portugal since Zara is cheaper there, woot!). It would be the perfect thing, and it was, for a first day of wandering around the place. The pale mint green matches the black sand and darkened sea, don't you agree? I shall show you more pictures of the next day, it was sunnier and warmer, I even braved sunbathing next to the the outdoors swimming pool! For now these pictures and gif will be enough.
PS: I am back to London! School tomorrow...
