The red dress

So Spring is here at last, and I thought showing my most coveted Gemma dress from Motel (I really can't resist an open back dress), that I finally got through eBay (after seeing the last one being sold in front of me in the last sample sale), is a great way to celebrate it. London has been sunny lately, with daffodils already brightening parks, but these pictures are still from my holidays at Madeira. I didn't want to miss the opportunity to take some pictures among the banana trees again, because I think they're awesome! Mmm, now I am craving some Madeiran bananas, they are tiny, but oh so sweet!
Now, who is going to the Motel Spring Sample Sale that is going on today and tomorrow? I am going again; last time I missed the Gemma, but two other dresses and a blouse were mine for cheap! More dresses won't hurt, especially if they're bargains, am I right?

If only I didn't have to work so much I'd be there! I was thinking in the first picture, ooh pretty dress and then I saw the back and thought ooh very pretty dress! Perfect with the shoes too.

The Daffodils will be blooming here soon too. That is a pretty red dress. Your boyfriend takes nice pictures. I can see why you'd look forward to the Motel Rocks London Spring Sale. I'm also very curious what your scrubs look like. Have you ever modeled them on your blog? I don't know why it is but I've always found nurses to look attractive. Do you ever where white nurses outfits at work or just the green scrubs?

@Panty Buns: I wouldn't show myself in scrubs in here for two reasons: first I really dislike how they look on me and really on anyone; and second because I can't leave my hospital with them (I would be in trouble). And I wear scrubs because I work in an intensive care unit, nurses in other units (apart from intensive care and theatre/operation rooms) wear normal uniforms, that vary from band of the nurse and of course from hospital to hospital.

@Emily: I got it for about £15, including shipping, on ebay, after drooling over it for so long! They still have several ones, so do get one soon if you really want it :)

What a wonderful dress and I love the cutout back! Very unique and sexy as well as very wearable! :-) Gorgeous outfit as always! Those tinted glasses are really cool too. One can never have too many dresses.

You look lovely, my dear! Red is definitely your color. I do believe this is your signature silhouette, too. You wear this dress so well! As for me, I'm a little too self-conscious to wear open back dresses. I don't know. Maybe someday.

P.S. I love the name of the dress. Sometimes my family calls me Emma and I secretly wish I could be called Gemma instead ;)

What a fantastic little, red dress! That back is ridiculously fun.

Thank you for the detailed and informative answer about the nursing you do and the varied nurses uniforms versus the scrubs - I certainly wouldn't want you to get in any trouble especially modeling something you dislike the looks of fashion-wise to begin with. That red dress, on the other hand, looks quite pretty.
