In the country with a pink hat

When I went to my grandparent's house in the country last weekend I knew I had to take some pictures in the attic's balcony. Despite practically no one ever going there, it has the best view of their house and the blue sky and olive trees look like a charming background to me. I didn't spend much time taking these with my tripod and self timer because it was really really hot up there and I got all blushed here (see my cheeks?). It is a shame I couldn't capture more of that natural beauty. I am a city girl, but some time in the country relaxes me a lot.
This blouse is one of the things I brought back with me, after raiding my grandma's closets. It is darling, don't you agree? I just realized yesterday night that I am going through a white/cream/beige hues phase right now, but that's matter for another post...
The hat is just a prop, since it obviously didn't fit me :( it was my cousin's and I had a few like that when I was little that disappeared (that obviously wouldn't fit me either).

Vintage blouse (via my grandma)
Vintage children's hat
Secondhand jeans
Zara sandals

That blouse is so pretty! I love the collar and lace and sleeve length. And the hat...aww! So cute! I added bright pink to my last outfit, too...in my case, pink shoes.

I grew up in olive trees; my hometown is in the middle of an olivetree- forest so it's my favourite tree ;)
and this blouse is so white; your grandmother was excellent in taking care of her clothes!

The hat is cute, don't you hate when you love a hat and it just won't fit...a weekend in the countryside sounds lovely and your grannie's blouse is sweet. I think color phases are great. It's important to wear colors that are drawn to. They make you feel great. I love your shoes and this light color phase you're in.

The blouse is lovely, as is the exotic Portuguese background! ; ) I love to see the white buildings and the olive trees behind. And I can't really notice that you're flushed, but I do think you're insane to be wearing jeans!

@Emily: I'll explain the jeans! ;) In the pictures I had just woken up (a little late as you can see from the sun and my messy bed hair), the day before was quite cool and I thought it would be like that too when I got dressed. I almost don't need to say that the jeans didn't stay long and I switched for a dress later, hehe.

@Monique: I hear you! I was so tired of finding beautiful hats that didn't fit all the time that when I found the one from last post I didn't even hesitate of buying it once I realized it fit my head perfectly!

A varanda parece a ser um sítio muito bonito. Fizeste bem em tirar fotos aí.
E a blusa é tão linda. Quem me dera que a minha avó tivesse blusas assim. Essa é mesmo um mimo.

That blouse is really lovely! I love wearing whites and creams during the summer; they're practical, yes, but they also seem a bit romantic and elegant. And prop or not, the pink hat is adorable! I'm always wearing straw hats during the summer; I burn like crazy!
