Flashback: Sailor Moon

Due to some event on Facebook a while back I got to remember the cartoons/anime shows that marked my childhood, and the first I immediately thought was Sailor Moon! It was on tv when Portugal didn't even have cable tv and the episodes aired at 7h30 am on weekends! And yes, I would get up that early only to watch them! Usagi(in Japan)/Bunny(in Portugal) aka Sailor Moon, was a bit annoying with all her wining and passion for the Tuxedo Mask! But all the characters were funny. It is the show that brings me more memories, I was more or less 7 years old when started watching it and as of now, being 23, almost 24, it still is my favourite anime series! Now I am thinking of getting myself the whole series on DVD (200episodes).
Now onto the style! I could totally see myself wearing some Sailor Moon inspired outfits. The clothes and school uniforms they wear are amazing, but also their "after-transformation" looks (that are shorter versions of the school uniforms). Here are some pictures to revive to good old days of childhood, so very nautical! They're sailors after all...

And wouldn't this be the perfect dress to channel the sailors?

Hmm, I never watched Sailor Moon... I was always a big fan of Captain Planet though.

P.S. I forgot my twitter password so couldn't reply to your tweet (lame, I know). You probably saw Harry Potter already but anyway. I saw it in 3D, because that was the only way I could see it in English. But I am really not a fan of 3D. Waste of money. And distracting. Especially since I had forgotten my glasses again so everything was slightly blurry 3D. Pfff.

I loved Sailor Moon, too. Heck, I kinda still do! Erin got me hooked on it, in fact. To this day we still geek out over it. It will come up randomly in conversation or we'll send each other funny little things we come across (key chains, stickers, buttons, etc). I thought about collecting the DVDs, but my VHS tapes are still perfectly good (even though I don't have a VCR...). I always liked watching the Japanese versions with English subtitles best.

That is one sweet dress! Thanks for this post, Raquel. It made me smile :)

@Emily, Ruby Slipper Journeys: Oh I never watched captain Planet, will google it!
Yep, I already went to see the harry Potter film and it was with 3D, it was fun, though I'd like to see it without the 3D now to enjoy the film even more. Besides it made me a terrible headache :|

@Emily, Resplendent Tranquility: I want the DVD's! Since I don't have a VCR or the VHS I really want to get the DVD set :) If I come across something of Sailor Moon in London I'll be sure to get something for you and Erin! hehe

@Dresses for Dinner: Hmmmm the design is still the same, at least on my computer :O
