I got stared at when I wore this outfit (which was a couple of weeks ago). That happens to me quite a lot, and in this case was at a shopping mall, full of people (sales craziness). I got stared at, not even wearing anything quite out of the ordinary [this outfit is rather plain apart from the beret...], but three women talked to each other about me, when I was just in front of them and even pointed, how rude is that? I am no longer bothered by "the stares", most of times anyway, but this was just too much, and I just wanted to ask them wether they wanted to borrow anything from me, perhaps? But I didn't, I just said, loudly, to my sister, that I was really annoyed by this kind of behaviour. Don't get me wrong, I don't mind people noticing what I'm wearing, but this is just pure rudeness!
Well, enough ramblings, this was the only time so far I wore my brown coat from Westrags (remember I got these for free), and it's just one more thing with a peter pan collar in my wardrobe. I'm addicted, I count 5 pieces now. Too bad I'll have to leave some behind when I move to London. This coat will be one those, as well as the beret (I'll just take 3 from my whole collection, ha!)
So they already know this, but the winners of the silky scarves giveaway were Joana and Brittany. Congrats! I'll be sending them to you tomorrow.
PS: Excuse the indoor pictures, I'll have my regular photographer soon, since I'll be going to my boyfriend's house, at Madeira, this Sunday. Plenty of outfit pictures outdoors then, I hope! But despite that, I really need to get a tripod, soon.

God lord, girl,if you get pointed out by such a simple outfit,i am afraid those ladies would call a mental institute to take me down. I don't understand people, at all!
I love the outfit and the color splash you give it with the beret. =D
I don't understand... Portuguese fashion must be the most boring in the world. I could imagine an admiring glance at your coat or beret (you should soooo bring that one)... but staring and pointing. Sheesh, I would not survive in Portugal.
You should bring at least one medium or light jacket, because at the moment it's not that cold. Not like last time you were here! I'm scheming about how to get myself a new jacket for as little money as possible...
@Joana: They seemed, a bit retarded, because this is not, at all, my most "different" outfit!
@Emily, Ruby Slipper Journeys: You're right, Portuguese fashion tends to be a bit boring (though that is changing!). Portuguese people are very conservative (mostly in small towns) and those seemed to be the kind of women that pointed at me. Also, I'm very used to be looked at and gossiped about but I found this just too much, since it was right in front of my nose, mostly pointing at my beret (which is sold in the exact same shopping mall...). I know that I don't fit in most "style category" seen here, none of my friends dress the same way as me but they like my style. At least I'm not wearing the same as everybody else does... But this really depends on the place you live really.
And, I'm taking two winter thick coats and thinking of also taking a leather jacket for warmer days. Or maybe a trench coat for the rain? Still need to make up my mind! Thanks for the tips though! :)
@Emily: Ohh forgot to tell this, you should see when I wear my bright red tights here! Stares all day long! Gosh, London will be so much more refreshing when compared to this...
Unfortunately, some people are just too narrow-minded when it comes to others' personal style. The key word being personal. Those women really should have kept to themselves. There's no excuse for being so blatantly rude.
Anywayyy, I happen to adore your blue beret and really think you should sneak it into your luggage for England! It will help brighten up those rainy day! :)
I love the color of your hat.
Ahhh!!!! Congrats on moving to London!!! I saw on your twitter that you were packing to move and I was so curious... but London, wow :) I cannot wait to see your photos there. I am so happy for you! Also I can't wait to see that polka dot dress on you.
Aww, I'm sorry you got some stares, but those people are just lame. It seems like you've got the right mind set in dealing with them though :)
I love your coat and that bright blue beret. So cute!
I'm so happy I won! and is your title inspired by MGMT, if so...love them! I get so annoyed when people stare, its so rude but at least we're interesting huh? lol I love that bold blue :) I just got a hat in the same color its so fun!
this is such an incredible outfit! screw anyone who wants to be rude...not.worth.it.
xx
gira!
passatempo no meu blog, passa lá :p
Mal posso esperar pelas fotos.

Gorgeous look, darling!
Love your beret!
xoxox,

how come? some people just don't understand! i love your beret, btw. I wanna have a red one!
they just don't realize that you are meerely expressing yourself through your clothes.. idk why they should make a big deal of it.
I adore that hat. Such a vibrant, pretty color :)
The outfit looks quite plain, but the hat makes it awesome! Ugh, and just ignore people. Some people are so insensitive, and don't understand fashion. Just wear whatever you're comfortable in!
Que boina linda.. a vermelha que voce tem também é uma graça *-*
obrigada pela visita ♥
bonito LOOK
;D
