Happy Halloween

We don't really celebrate Halloween in Portugal, except some stores that sell "Halloween related" products and decorations. I used to carve a pumpkin and decorate the house with my mom and sister when we were kids, but most people don't really do nothing. Though the first thing that comes to my mind when thinking about Halloween is not putting on costumes as it would be hoped, it is wearing black. So here's what I wore today, all black, with my T-Bar flats (that my sister "stole" from me) to make it a little more fun.

Wool sweater: Mango
Black trousers: C&A
T-bar flats: Zara
Belt: C&A (I think)
Magic Mickey Halloween: gift from my father from Disneyland Paris 10 years ago!

PS: I am going to London tomorrow and I'm really excited! woohoo!

The Polkadot Dress

I am pretty sure you all have seen this Zara dress all over the blogosphere. But it is too cute to not post about it! I would love to have the blue one, of course because blue is my favourite colour. It costs €19.95 (in Portugal), which, for the usual prices of the Woman section at Zara, is not really that expensive! What do you think?? It's only too bad that it's sold out here in Portugal and I can't also spend any money on clothes right now.

Carina and Raquel #2

As promised, another set of photos taken with Carina. This time at Praia Formosa (which means, beautiful beach) at Funchal, Madeira. Not much of a difference with the outfit, I just changed the silk blouse into this cupcakes t-shirt (Lefties). And here you can see the brown leather belt I was wearing too (vintage).

Bershka blazer
Lefties t-shirt (seen also here)
Secondhand jeans
Vintage belt

Pendants, Necklaces

So after showing you where I keep my dresses, and after receiving a few necklaces from my lovely aunt in the mail last week, I thought I'd show you where I keep them too!
The pendants or chain necklaces I hang in a part of my dress hanger, and well as some scarves and small bags, and my summer hat as you've seen too. The longer or heavier and usually beaded necklaces stay at a top of a bookcase we actually use as our bedside table.
In the last picture you can see the ones my aunt gave me, except for the black one. And I am thinking of changing two or three of them and make them more "me".

This is another scheduled post.
I have been really busy this past few days, non stop, and this will continue for at least till the end of next week. All because my life is supposed to change soon! So wish me luck! and bear with me :)

You know, Portugal is a lovely country.

Being Portuguese I thought I could show you some of my favorite Portuguese blogs.
These ladies have been inspiring  me a lot lately, so... Take a look.

From Earrings to Shoe Clips

A while ago I won a giveaway at Maruschka's blog and won two lovely things: a retro wallet and a pair of clip on earrings. And as much as I do think that clip on earrings are great, look at Mad Men girls!, I thought they would look much better as shoe clips! So here are some pictures illustrating it. Of course Sassy had to show off her presence on this blog again!

Rawr

I have a thing for leopard print. But I wasn't always like this. If you knew me like 3 or 4 years ago I would just hate anything with leopard print. I found it kind of tacky(!). So one day I found this knit vest at Zara and it made me change my mind completely! Of course I was influenced by Rebbecca, of The Clothes Horse, as well. This girl rock in all her outfits and made me change my opinion on leopard print! Well I have been loving leopard print since then, but never really bought anything else. So last time my aunt was here, we went shopping remember? And found some amazing bargains at Bershka. This sweater was one of those. It's a bit big on me (it's a size M) but I like the oversized jumper look and it was the only size available, for €3.95 would you've said no?? My aunt got one to herself too, in grey. Now I can't wait to get myself a pair of leopard print ballerinas, a thin belt and a blouse! Look how people can change, right? Oh and I wanted to play a bit with mixing animal prints and wore the sweater with my snakeskin print flats from Zara. Another thing I would hate until I fell in love with these shoes haha!

Vintage leather belt
H&M pants
Zara shoes

PS: This is a scheduled post, at this time I must have already landed in Lisbon. I'll be at my hometown, Coimbra for at least a week. I have other scheduled posts done too, because I will not have much time this next week, and I also don't know when I'll be back to Madeira.

Things to Love: Prints!

Don't you just love prints? On totes, pillows, even walls? If you do, I have something to show you.

(Canvas prints and Cushion prints)

Teo Jasmin is an interior design company which was founded by Angéline Bailly in 2001. They started to specialize in digital printing on wall canvas but later on expanded their range of products with cushions, bags and also classic furniture, still using the same digital process on them.

 (Tote Bags)

I really like the creativity. New collections are launched twice a year. Featuring DC Comics, Coca Cola and also The Beatles! They have such a nice amount of lovely products!

( Travel bags)

You can check more about these cute prints at the website, the Facebook page, and Twitter

Carina and Raquel

A while ago I met the lovely Madeira based blogger Carina. We  hung out a bit, had a stroll (and drive hehe), ate a delicious hamburger and a smoothie (@Castelo dos Hamburguers, check it out if you ever come to Madeira, they're perfect! especially the smoothies, nom nom nom), and of course, took some photos! Here are the first set, at the shopping centre parking lot haha. I have more to show you but that'll be for later.
By the way, if you don't already know her blog. Check it out! She's a sweetie and a cutie! :)

There she is! Check out her blog post to know what she was wearing. I was wearing...

Bershka blazer (4€ bargain)
Zara silk blouse (6€ bargain!! seen here)
 Second hand jeans (handmedowns)
La Redoute brogues
Mango bag
Golden bracelet from a flea market at Coimbra.

Dresses

Thought of showing you where and how I keep my dresses, and blouses as of a while ago.
I hang them by colour. Not really rainbow or spectrum coordinated but my own way haha! black-black&grey-grey-grey&white-white-beige/nude-light pink-pink-purple-blue-green-yellow-red. Some dresses and blouses are in the same hanger, and you can see a repeat here. Most common colours in my wardrobe: black and blue! And I still have many clothes at Coimbra, mostly black ones!
So do you have any storing schemes? If so, how do you do it?

Things to Love: Sassy

Well since Sassy became really popular in my last Things to Love post I decided to dedicate a post to the one and only. Beware of the photo overload. There are photos since July (she was born in July 5th), I tried to put them in chronological order. Oh and Sassy is not actually a "thing to love", she's my cutie  little Siamese cat, and I love her, but she can be a terror sometimes too (I have scratched arms and hands as a proof!). Of course her mommy Isis, had to be featured here too since they spend lots of time together, especially sleeping, and sometimes fighting playing! :)

She has grown so much in only 3 months!

Here she is now:

Finally Wearing Tights!

I couldn't be more excited when last night it actually felt chilly outside. So I knew that today I was going to be able to wear tights without sweating. This is actually the only outfit posting worthy I've wore in a while (because I refused to be bare legged so I've been living in pants!) and I couldn't wait more. Yes, that's what I'm wearing today! Oh I missed you black opaque tights! I missed you too H&M dress! :)

H&M dress
Vintage leather jacket (belonged to one of my aunts)
Zara tights
Primark flats
Selfmade necklace with Rose pendant from a Parfois ugly necklace

Have a nice weekend! It started to rain again here just now

PS: I don't usually match my glasses to my outfits, but I've been wearing my red ones much more than my black ones lately... And here they actually became a nice accessory!

Falling for Boots

Pictures from here.

Some of my preferences concerning Fall and Winter shoes.
See a pattern here? Yes, brown and black, and booties! All H&M!
There's no H&M here at Madeira Island (boo) but in two weeks I'm going home to the mainland for a bit (yay) and, as much I can't buy any of these (tight budget concerning life changing purposes) I'll be able to see them irl and see whether they look this pretty :)
