I'm back

Came yesterday from ENEE, but too tired to write. The week was amazing! Despite it was gloomy on Sunday, when we arrived, it was sunshiny all the other days. It has been so hot lately, it reached 35º Celsius!! Which was great to the beach, but horrible to sleep in the tents in the morning! But it was all worth it! Give you some pictures now!

You can see, as I told before, not the most fashionable moment (camping !!) but I sure made my sunglasses shine :)

Hope you had a great week, and weekend now! Tomorrow I'm going to my sister's Crisma (Catholic celebration) and will show you my outfit then.

The last one

So as promised, the pictures of "Queima das Fitas".

Pictures with me wearing the ribbons: before the parade. Pictures with top hat and walking stick: during and after the Sunday parade.

Sorry for the bad quality but I still have the same crappy camera :X

Oh Nursing colours are white and yellow!
The picture of my sister beating my top hat with the walking stick is a tradition to give luck! You give 3 beats and then 3 kisses.
The sentence on the picture with the banner says: Mr. Prime Minister: We graduated, Now we want a job! Because of the economy recession and lack of nurses hiring in Portugal!

ps: if you want to enjoy this tradition, it happens every year in the first week of May, and if you're into beer you'll enjoy it even more, since the parade themed cars (made by the juniors) are full of drinks, especially beer, and food to give to the people during the parade.

pps: I am definitely buying the silver shoes form the last post if the sellers have them in the fair next saturday.

outfit, fairs and blog award

Queima das Fitas ends today, with the final celebration of the 110 years of Coimbra's Queima das Fitas. I went for 3 nights and the day of the parade. I'm sad it's my last one (hopefully though). I'll post the pictures later, maybe tomorrow.

Now I just want to thank you all lovelies who have been so supportive to me! You really can't imagine how it means to me! I am very grateful for all of you! I'm in a bad moment right now. I keep thinking and stressing I may not finish and graduate at the same time as my friends, or even if it's really this what I want to do next! But everytime each everyone of you sends a friendly and supporting message I can smile! So THANK YOU!

And to compensate you I am showing lot's of things today.

Outfit from last thursday:

Zara dress and shoes; Lefties bag; LaRedoute leggings; Mango sunglasses.
It was too hot this past week but I am not confident enough to be bare legged yet! Though it started raining a lot today!

Today visited Holly Spirit Fair which it's in my neighbourhood till June I think, which was mixed to a Second Hand and Handicraft Selling that happens every Saturday and took some pictures:

Second Hand and Handicraft Selling

Names in eveything: mugs, plaques...

I found this amazing sweet shoes like Dorothy's in Wizard of Oz but in Silver! And practically never worn! Though I didn't bought them because I knew I'd never wear them, I regret it a bit now! I could at least have tried them. Maybe they still have them next week and they could fit me! Only 7€ won't hurt! :)

Holly Spirit Fair

And my buys:

Vintage Lacoste tennis skirt, 1€!

Chocolat book, 1€; Bart Simpson tee, 1€; Handmade nautical earrings and ring! Lovely!

A closer look! I fell in love and managed to palter with the seller and got both the earrings and ring for 4€! :D

Now a blog award! From the stweetest blogger, Emily! Thank you so much darling! You're the best!

Isn't it cute?!
I'll pass it to:
Andrea
HoneyBunny
Holly
Ambroisine

Hope you're having a great weekend!
Love,
Raquel

Florals

Hey there!
This week was good! The wing is amazing, the nurses are great and received us well! It's a little bit depressing since I am dealing with people with brain cancer, head/spine trauma etc. who almost loose their life in a second.

But talking of better things, the teacher only bugged me once asking many questions about medication and I got almost everything well!

AND, yesterday started a big celebration here in Coimbra! Queima das Fitas! A university students' festivity an tradition that you can learn more about here! It is very special for me this year since I am a senior and well, I'll tell more about it in my next post with pictures! I'll just say that yesterday I almost cried in the Serenata Monumental (fado serenade).

For now, what I wore today:

Dress: Zara; Cardigan and white dress underneath: Bershka; Tights: Calzedonia; Flats: Lefties; Leather jacket: gift.

Thank you so much for all your lovely comments! I am so grateful for all your support and promise to reply all when I have time. I am working on my perceptorship project so I can be free for the weekend, AND my boyfriend is arriving tomorrow yay!
