Busy Bee

Started preceptorship today. The Neurosurgery wing is the most demanding one I've ever been and I have to study a lot! The Nursing team there looks very nice, I guess my problem will be the demanding professor plus the demanding knowledge! So from today till JULY! my posts will be sparse but I'll try to post once a week!
Leave you with new shoes and home outfit from yesterday!

PS: I'll try to reply all of you in the weekend if I found some time.

friends will be friends...

Enjoying this last free time is the best thing me and my friends can do this week. Next week will start the hardest work of our pre graduating time, our last preceptorship (mine with that demanding techer!)!
So yesterday we decided to stroll trough downtown and by the river to have some sunshine in our faces and the warm breeze of the river. Of course we took advantage of Lefties being downtown and I got some t-shirts and them some cardigans like my last post ones.

Then, in the evening, we went out and relaxed a little in a cafe and then to a student's disco/bar with outside music to chill out and dance a little.

And this is what I wore today:

We had some foreigner professors, from Belgium, Norway and Sweden. I really enjoyed hearing them talk about their countries, not only the differences in the health area, but also the cultural differences and mainly the specific characteristics of each one of them. Really it was great. Then in the afternoon I had to go meet my teacher at my perceptorship wing, Neurosurgery, which I'll start on Monday, and kind of got a little sad not to be able to be with the foreigners some more time.

Hope you're all great. This evening I'll go to the book fair we're having in town and then to a garage bands contest.

Crash

Hey!
I had my last exam today, it went well :)

This week it's Transcultural Nursing Week at my school, and today we talked about cultural differences and concepts in the health area and in the last class we watched the film Crash. I've never seen it before and it blew my mind! It's really good but it made me sad because it's true. Not so much where I live but still, it's the truth. If you've seen it what do you think? And if you haven't you should.

Anyway these are the outfits of the weekend and today. New cardigans! :D

Saturday during the day: dress and scarf, gift from my aunt. leggings, Bershka. boots, flea market.

Saturday evening: dress, H&M. grey cardigan, Lefties. scarf, Lefties. leggings, Zara. boots, local store. coat, Zara.

My sweet friend and also my photographer, Cecilia :D

And today: dress and brown cardigan, Lefties. leggings, LaRedoute. boots, flea market. belt, vintage. rings, Parfois. headband, local shop.

And again my beautiful Cecilia, who has the S/S version (flowers!) of my patterned T-bars from Zara :D

Now I'll have a test for my English course.

Have a nice week!

Tagged

Finaly I had the time to write Emily's tag. Here it is:

The rules are:
1. Respond and rework: answer the questions on your blog, replace one question that you dislike with a question of your own invention, add one more question of your own.

2. Tag other un-tagged people.

What is your current obsession?
Red Ray Ban Wayfarers, new eyeglasses and nude colored dresses and shoes.

What are you wearing today?
I’m in my dorm studying and I am not leaving so I’m wearing navy sweatpants and a mustard turtleneck (ugh!).

Here's what I wore yesterday: (for rainy weather - leather jacket, belonged to my aunt; cardigan, Zara; dress, Lefties; leggings, LaRedoute; boots, Flea Market)

Do you nap a lot?
When I have the time!

Why is today special?
The weather outside is gloomy, but I love to look at the sky and the rain when I’m inside.

The sky yesterday:

What would you like to learn to do?

Sew, play piano, take amazing photographs.

What's for dinner today?
Don’t know yet, probably soup.

What's the last thing you bought?

Some photocopies at school. Clothing related: my lbd from H&M.

What are you listening to right now?

Flightless Bird, American Mouth by Iron & Wine.

What is your favourite weather?

Not too hot, not too cold, sunshine, a few clouds, and a light breeze - perfect! (the same as Emily’s!! hehe)

What is on your bedside table?

A book, a box with my headbands, a teddy bear my boyfriend gave me, my watch, hand lotion, tv remote and hairclips.

What's your style?

Girly, sweet, fun and not too elaborated.

What is your most challenging goal right now?

Graduating, finding a job as soon as I can and then I’ll see, if I’ll take another course or move to another country.

Say something about the person who tagged you:

Emily is a lovely and charming girl. Makes such lovely posts and always compliments with charming words!

If you could have a house totally paid for, fully furnished anywhere in the world, where would you like it to be?

Have no idea, anywhere but here.

Favourite vacation spot?

Algarve (away from summer months when it’s not all crowded with tourists), Alentejo’s coast, Barcelona (with the city and beach settings).

Name the things you cannot live without:

My family, my boyfriend, my dear friends, my judgement freedom, my cell phone and laptop.

Name a memory from childhood that sticks out in your mind:

A walk me and my dad had when my sister was born. I can remember the exact outfit I was wearing (at age 5! – burgundy skirt and little jacket ) and the colour of the little transporting babies thing, vibrant red. The memory is from the three of use leaving home and walking through our street.

What person would you like to have in your hands right now?

My boyfriend! I miss him so much! Gladly he’ll come to visit me in two weeks.

What would you like add to your personality?

Sometimes I wish I could think more before I talk, I know sometimes I can hurt people for being so direct.

If you could go anywhere in the world for the next hour, where would you go?

Madeira, visiting my boyfriend.

Which language do you want to learn?

I am improving my English (well at least Nursing tecnic speech), I’d like to learn German but I think it’s too difficult.

Which countries have you visited?
Spain, France and Germany (though in the last two I was so little I can’t remember anything). But one of my goals is to travel every time I can!

Who is your style muse?

Audrey Hepburn for all her chic simplicity. I take in serious count the bloggers I read too.

What are some of the things you like about where you live?

My family’s house is in a countryside very very small place and I don’t really like it there, though it’s good to hear the nature all around me. Here in Coimbra I love the University old campus, the river, the Botanic garden and downtown.

What do you want to be when you grow up?

Again agreeing with Emily: Happy ♥

I tag: Marti (new blog, take a look!), Mist, Holly, and Lopi.

Have a lovely weekend, I'll study now...

wayfarers

The Twilight cast is making me jealous. Looks like most of them are in love with the Ray Ban Wayfarer sunglasses, and I dream of having a red pair! (now you know what to offer me! :P)

Nikki Reed, with a colour I love!

Kristen Stewart

Jackson Rathbone (I really like the ones on the right too!)

Anna Kendrick and Robert Pattinson!

Again Nikki Reed and Kristen Stewart both wearing a pair.

And last, Nikki Reed wearing eyeglasses which I think are Ray Ban's too, the type of ones I wouldn't mind wearing all day!

All images from LaineyGossip.com

I have to content myself with my mango similar to wayfarer sunglasses for now.

Thank you all for your advice on my last post! If I had the money I would go right now buy a new pair of eyeglasses and also contacts :)

Now I'll get back to studying Statistics :S

Glasses

Hey there!

I'll have some free time this week, or at least a more light schedule since I'll only have few classes, but I have to study for my last exam on Monday.
My exam yesterday didn't went very well but the work presentation for another class was realy good!

I thought of showing a picture of myself wearing my glasses, since I am all the time using them for classes now. I don't really like them (need definetely new ones!!) but without them I couldn't see to the board : I am thinking of buying new ones (but only after graduation) or starting to use contacts, what do you think is better?

Well here are the pictures of myself wearing today's outfit and my glasses too.

Hope you're having a good week!
I'll show later again more pictures of Barcelona's trip (I haven't forgot about that!)

PS: as you can see in the picture, here is raining almost all day long :

06 April 2009

Time passes. Even when it seems imposible.

I'm stuck at home, slept till noon, now watching tv and eating Easter chocolates, and I should start studying "Investigation Methodologies" for my 2 exams next week. But I'm too lazy and bored to do that!
Now here you have the black dress again :) I know you'll be seing it a lot here! Oh and thank you so much for your compliments.
The picture of my heartshapped sunnies looked cute to me so I thought it would look good here :)

As promised...

... two of my new acquisitions from yesterday's shopping trip:

I was craving this H&M low backline dress for ages! And finally couldn't resist to buy it! I really love it and I'm sure it's going to be worn many times. I'll be wearing it tomorrow for my aunt's surprise birthday party!

And this shirt-dress, with red and white stripes (bought one in navy blue too!).

Keep posted for the other acquisitions later!
Hope you're having a good Saturday!
